Caste Kudos

Things have changed up once again on the High Council. We are minus a third chair once again, but Klan has asked that I, Emilee Callaghan, assume those duties. To date we have had one new applicant that is currently being mentored by Mariah Burroc. I do wish to thank Elise Drethren though for answering the call I put to her and the Physicians caste of Port Kar to help mentor Magdalena Kamaz of Bazi. Lady Aislinn Rae of Esalinius also answered the initial call for a mentor. I would like to thank her as well for jumping in to help. If you know of any that are seeking to further their training and join our ranks, encourage them to contact us. If they do not have a mentor, one will be found for them relatively close to their Home Stone or place of residence.

Here is an interesting bit of trivia.....

Did you know..... the city of Port Kar has the highest number of RGCP physicians within its walls?

Policy Proposal Voting Results

All changes in policy must be run through Klan Karrigan and Miska Cina. These two chairs will be responsible for making sure that feedback is recieved and that ballots are issued for voting.

From the Caste Judge, Mariah Burroc

A while back we had written to the papers an article about Anathema. At that time it was stated that a healer if they were attacked or collared, the caste, after reviewing the information we received, could declare a warrior Anathema.. Therefore refusing him medical care.

Also at that time, there was a reminder to healers that they should not at any time be disrespectful, willingly demean a warriors honor, or blatantly break a cities laws and call upon their caste or Anathema as a defense for their actions.

We will ask, that should a physician act in such a manner, the caste be notified so that healer can be called under review. We would encourage any one bringing these charges to send us any and all documentation surrounding said charge.

It is my opinion, and I believe the council would agree, that any one breaking a city law should be brought up on charges by that city, and held to answer for their misdeeds. Simply because a healer should not be attacked, or collared, does not mean in any way they are exempt from being held accountable or responsible. Gorean and city laws do not look the other way when it comes to such acts that will or could lead to treason and in the end impalement.

I am proud to say, outside of few exceptions, that the healers of our caste have enough sense to know the separation of this declaration and do not push it to such extreme. To those of you that do.. let this be fair warning.. You are.. and will be held accountable and responsible, not only by your City.. but by your caste.
